Artist Statement
I have taught art and painted and potted in the Bitterroot Valley and Missoula area since 1997. My work includes sketchbook, drawing, pleinairoil and water-media. Also printmaking, studio, painting in oil, acrylics. and watercolor.
I have also cultivated interest and some facility in high fire ceramics. (stoneware,porcelain, soda, and Woodfire processes). Part of my mono Print process is the producing of pot-sketches.
My work is intentionally intuitive and mostly experimental. I love sketching and painting in nature, working with, and discovering there the Harmony and beauty that can so easily be found In the “big studio” . I have apprenticed many labradors in this quest.
