Reasons to Join us
Professional Organization
We are a professional organization with a mission of encouraging public awareness of artists and fine art artisans living in the Bitterroot Valley by offering a variety of art experiences to the community and visitors.
Participation
Membership includes participation in our annual Artists Along the Bitterroot Studio Tours & Art Sales, sponsored events, Artist workshops and more.
Wide Range of Media
When you join, you will be part of a coalition of juried artists covering a broad spectrum of artistic media: painters, sculptors, artisans, collage, fabric artists and more.
Open Studio Tours
Our Studio Tours are an invitation to the community and potential customers to join us in our artistic world. View and purchase our artwork. Walk through our studios. Get a demonstration of how we create our art. Tours usually take place two times each year.
Rich History
Artists Along the Bitterroot formed in 2008 and has a long history of promoting a standard of excellence in all members. Read more about our history.
Working Together as Artists
One of the benefits of membership is sharing our knowledge of creating art with each other. Members provide mentoring to fellow artists. We work together to create interesting show and public events. We do all of this in pursuit of excellence and promoting creativity.
Educational Enrichment
Providing educational enrichment opportunities to the public through showcase events, lectures and workshops is one of our goals and one of fun ways we connect out into our communities.
Getting the Word Out
Artists Along the Bitterroot as an organization works hard to create print and media advertising promoting our Studio Tour & Art Sales through various social media channels. We maintain a state of the art web site (you’re here!) to showcase members and events.
New Membership Applications
may be submitted at any time.
There are two levels of membership: Full and Guest. Full Members are those who live in the Bitterroot Valley from Lolo to Sula. Both memberships include participation in Studio Tours, art activities, and voting privileges. Guest Members are those who do not live in the Bitterroot Valley but wish to share in the Studio Tours as a guest at a Member’s studio. The same jury process applies to both memberships.
FEES: Annual Membership is $50. If you are accepted there is a one-time web page setup fee of $50 for new members.
If you decide to join Artists Along the Bitterroot, we strongly suggest you read our By-Laws and Tour Guidelines before joining.
