Shirley Anderson Sylvester – Oil and Watercolor
Artist Statement
Shirley began painting with oils in 1984 and watercolor in 1995. She is very proud to be a signature member of Montana Watercolor Society. She grew up in the Bitterroot Valley and lives with her family on a cattle farm east of Corvallis.
Old homesteads and barns have a great historical interest in her work. They tell a story of lives lived in our country’s past. She enjoys plein aire painting along our Montana scenic views. Nature is a wonderful thing. It lifts the spirits and our minds. My art represents a snapshot in time that I feel and love.
