Artist Statement
The stunning, surrounding Montana landscape combined with the smell and feel of luxuriously tanned skins compel me to shape, carve, stretch, mold, stitch and paint on leather. Found feathers and leaves inspire the one of a kind jewelry and home accessories I create.
I continue to explore new ideas since picking up my first swivel knife more than 30 years ago. I mix traditional with unconventional techniques and materials to get the exciting results I envision. The addition of irridescent colors and the marriage of leather to sterling silver, gold and gemstones is my hallmark.
