Wendy Holsapple – Printmaking
Artist Statement
Growing up in the farm country of the Midwest, Wendy spent endless hours outdoors filling sketchbooks with images of the natural world. Her present-day sketches, created in her quiet studio high in the Bitterroot Mountains of Montana, provide the basis for the design of simple prints. She puts her own twist on both classic black and white block prints as well as whimsical prints using bright colors with her attention to detail and quirky sense of humor.
