Artist Statement

Creating is one of my earliest memories. I remember, as a child, drawing my mother's hands, copying pictures I saw, making my own dolls and other toys. Creating is my life and what I do in and around everything else in life.

I started showing my art as a teenager and progressed to larger shows and auctions. Now in retirement I still create on a smaller scale and strictly for enjoyment. My preferred medium is oils, but I also work in pastels and pen/ink. I love painting florals and anything that is Montana. Painting scenery, farm animals and cowboys are a pure enjoyment.

Many of my creations go to auctions for medical funding in small communities around the state and national animal organizations.
