Glenn Gilmore - Architectural Blacksmith
Artist Statement
Glenn Gilmore has been creating artistic forged metalwork for clients since 1974. His reputation for creating visually stunning fireplace doors and screens has earned him commissions from coast to coast and abroad.
Glenn finds inspiration from the natural world, his travels, studies, and the work at hand. Working with the finest quality materials – including bronze, monel, copper, and steel- and with a background in European blacksmithing, he designs and delivers artwork with each piece having its own delightful details and textures.
Glenn’s work has been featured in numerous books and magazines and as recognition of Glenn’s talents in design and forge work he was nominated for a 2012 United Artists Fellowship, one of 300 artists selected in the nation.
